- QuickBooks Online Fundamentals or course equivalent
- Payroll Fundamentals or course equivalent (may be completed during bookkeeping experience segment of the program1)
You may opt out of a course. To opt out of a course, you must have completed and passed an equivalent higher education course.

Each course you opt out of reduces the CAP Program monthly payments by one month.

Certified Accounting Paraprofessional (CAP) License Objective
Place CAP behind your name and communicate your accounting knowledge, skill, experience, and ethics to employers or clients.
CAP License
Become a licensed Certified Accounting Paraprofessional or CAP.
This program completes the CAP license education, certification (examination), and experience requirements.
Support
You are assigned support personnel to assist you with any course, certification, training, experience, or licensing questions.
Notes
If you complete the Payroll Fundamentals course and take and pass the Payroll Certification exam during the Bookkeeping Experience segment, you can go directly from the Bookkeeping Experience segment to the Payroll Experience segment without interruption.
